Community Guidelines

Edit the website. Don’t hurt people.

That is the whole rule. Everything below is what it means in practice. These checks run before you can pay, so a blocked edit costs you nothing.

Not allowed

Harm to people

• Hate speech, slurs, or attacks on people for who they are.
• Threats of violence, or telling anyone to hurt themselves.
• Harassment, bullying, or targeting a specific private person.
• Sexual or explicit content of any kind.
• Any sexual content involving minors. This is reported, not just removed.
• Graphic violence or gore.
• Promotion of terrorism or extremist movements.

Illegal and unsafe

• Drug sales, weapon sales, counterfeit or stolen goods.
• Fraud, phishing, scams, or anything designed to trick people.
• Get-rich-quick claims, investment solicitations, crypto promotions or promises of financial return.
• Gambling, betting, lotteries, sweepstakes or raffles.
• Medical claims, prescription drugs, unsafe supplements.
• Tobacco, nicotine or vapes.
• Malicious code, or anything trying to break EditIt.lol.

Private information

• Phone numbers, home addresses, personal email addresses.
• Doxxing anyone, including yourself.
• Passwords, API keys, tokens, card numbers, bank details, government ID numbers.

Deception

• Impersonating a person, a company, or EditIt.lol.
• Claiming a partnership, sponsorship or affiliation you do not have.
• Fake system alerts, fake browser warnings, fake cookie banners, fake checkout screens or any interface designed to mislead.

Advertising rules

Self-promotion is welcome in the form it is offered: a brand shoutout is a visual edit with a brand name, an optional short tagline, an optional public handle and an optional approved logo.

• No clickable links, shortened links, affiliate links, referral links, tracking links or coupon links.
• No QR codes.
• No embedded external content.
• No political or election advertising, and no fundraising or donation solicitations.
• No repeated identical promotional messages.

We do not sell traffic, clicks, impressions or followers, and we do not promise any promotional result. A shoutout is a visual edit, nothing more. User edits do not represent endorsements by EditIt.lol.

Intellectual property

Only upload a logo or use a brand name if you own it or have permission. We ask you to confirm this before you can buy that kind of edit, and we act on valid rights-holder complaints.

What happens if you break these rules

• Before payment: your edit is blocked and you are not charged.
• After payment but before publication: your edit does not go live and you are refunded.
• After publication: the edit is hidden or removed, its content is no longer displayed, and the edit number stays in the public record marked as removed.
• Repeated or serious abuse: the session and connection are blocked from making further edits.

Reporting

Every edit page has a report link, and /report takes reports for any edit. Rights-holder notices go to /legal/copyright and /legal/trademark. Anything else: jafar.najafov@gmail.com.
