Trademark notices

Brand shoutouts and logo edits require the buyer to confirm that they own the brand or have permission to use the material. If someone used your mark without that permission, tell us.

What a notice needs

• The mark you are asserting, its registration number and jurisdiction where registered.
• The goods or services the mark covers.
• The edit number or URL of the material you are objecting to.
• An explanation of why the use is infringing or likely to cause confusion.
• Your name, organisation, role and contact details.
• A statement that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.

What we already block

• Claims of official status or sponsorship by a company the buyer does not represent.
• Claims of partnership or affiliation with EditIt.lol.
• Impersonation of a person, company or EditIt.lol itself.

User edits do not represent endorsements by EditIt.lol, and every brand shoutout on the site carries that statement next to it.

What we do with a valid notice

• The content is hidden or removed from the live site and public history.
• The removal reason, moderator and timestamp are recorded internally.
• The buyer's rights confirmation is retained as part of the record.
• Repeat abuse results in the session and payment identifiers being blocked.
